Spiers & Boden have been at the forefront of the English traditional folk scene for 25 years both as a groundbreaking duo and as founder members of folk phenomenon Bellowhead.
After a seven-year hiatus to concentrate on their Universal Records-signed big band Bellowhead, Spiers & Boden returned in 2021 with the critically acclaimed album Fallow Ground (Hudson Records) and have been taking their brand of high octane, no nonsense acoustic folk song and music to packed UK venues ever since.
Described by The Guardian as ‘the finest instrumental duo on the traditional scene’, Spiers & Boden first rocketed onto the music scene in 2001, quickly winning a clutch of BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards and went on to become one of the best loved duos on the English folk scene and beyond. The intuitive musical interplay between Kathryn and Amy is born out of a long-standing creative friendship. Kathryn’s pipes marry beautifully with Amy’s exquisite accordion playing; a cascade of jigs, reels, heart-wrenching airs, together with percussive clog dancing makes for an irresistible mix.
Kathryn Tickell – Northumbrian pipes, fiddle, voice
Kathryn is widely acclaimed as the foremost exponent of the Northumbrian pipes. She is a composer, performer, broadcaster and recording artist whose work is deeply rooted in the landscape and people of Northumbria. She has twice won “Musician of the Year” at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards and was awarded the OBE in 2015 for services to folk music.
Amy Thatcher – accordion, voice, clog dancing
Amy is one of the UK’s leading folk accordionists. Her musical roots are in Stockport’s Fosbrook Folk Education Trust, where she trained from the age of eight on accordion, fiddle, piano and clog dan

From desert safaris, to being pushed to their limits across dangerous moorlands, Interstellar Duo’s music speaks to all, and tales always contain something of the unexpected. Creating events with interactive elements from board games to live portraiture, and writing music for circus and dance shows, music which inspires movement is key for the duo.

Event Details
Regarded by many as the best and most consistent ‘public subscription band’ in the world, the fabled brass band presents a highly entertaining concert suitable for both the general public and brass band connoisseur.
The ever-popular Brighouse & Rastrick Band boast a formidable reputation: in its time the majority of premier band championships have been held by ‘Briggus’, most recently becoming the 2022 British Open and Brass in Concert Champions.
They caught the ears and imagination of the British public in 1977 with their recording of The Floral Dance, holding the No.2 position in the British singles chart for 9 weeks. Even though they were held off the top spot by Paul McCartney, they still achieved sales of over a million copies, earning both Gold and Silver discs. The Floral Dance has now b

Mark and David are singing, songwriting, strumming and swigging buddies from the Badlands of the Cheshire Plain.
Radcliffe has been on BBC national radio since the early nineties and currently hosts the Radio 2 Folk Show and weekend breakfast on 6Music. He is also the author of five bestselling books, the latest being ‘Crossroads’ In Search Of The Moments That Changed Music’. Previously a member of folk-rock bands The Family Mahone and Galleon Blast, he is currently one half of electronic duo UNE and drummer and lyricist for Americana band Fine Lines.
David Boardman. A consummate guitarist and guitar teacher, David cut his teeth on the rock circuit with Darktown Jubilee touring not only the UK but also North America and Canada. A gifted visual artist, Boardman met Radcliffe in their hometown of Knutsford where their writing partnership soon paid dividends.
Their act is one of classic simplicity: two voices, two guitars, some great original songs, the odd carefully chosen cover and the occasional rambling anecdote. It might not sound like much, but they seem to be getting away with it….so far.

Founded in Barnsley Rock City in 2006, The Bar-Steward Sons of Val Doonican are on a mission! Far from being your typical folk ensemble, this cult-like collective of like-minded knit-wear enthusiasts are determined to follow in their spiritual father’s immortal footsteps and keep his legacy alive.
This band of brothers-from-other-mothers collectively make up the hardest working comedy folk band in the UK. They have quite the talent for Bar-Stewardizing other famous people’s songs with new satirical comedy lyrics, on folk instruments, and to complete their outrageously understated image, the Doonicans h

Event Details
Nick Drake is the most revered and loved of all this country’s Singer-Songwriters. He has given us timeless songs that shed all the tears of life within their fragile yet perfect lines. He recorded three cherished Albums between 1969 and 1972 but was almost entirely unknown in his day. After his tragic death in 1974 aged only 26 his music almost disappeared into obscurity. Now, thanks to a massive resurgence of interest and a worldwide re-evaluation of his genius Nick Drake has become a national treasure.
Two decades have now passed since Singer/Guitarist Keith James first paralysed the whole Country with his stunningly beautiful series of concerts. He was the first artist ever to bring this intriguingly fragile music to Theatres and Arts Venues across the UK in its pure live concert form. The result was six years of highly acclaimed tours amounting to over 1000 concerts in venues across
