Bristol’s finest post-punk polemics IDLES are picking up a lot of attention recently – for all the right reasons. Handpicked by The Maccabees to support on their London farewell shows, they debuted the video to ‘Stendhal Syndrome’ at DIY on Friday.

Band bassist and “star” of the video, Dev says of the filming, “Armed with our secret weapon, (a lovely and excessively tall Belgian man called Ben) both Lee and I set about the galleries of London and proceeded to film me pissing about in front of a total of 91 pieces of art. Gin was needed. All moves featured are choreographed by myself under the guidance of the director/singer/artiste extraordinaire Joseph Talbot. I am available for dance lessons if anyone is interested”.

They have also announced that they will be embarking on the massive 25 date ‘Brutalism UK Tour’ in March/April 2017. Politically charged, refreshingly confrontational and infectiously volatile, IDLES are a band like no other.

Their much anticipated debut album ‘Brutalism’ is out 10th March.
