To say The Velvet Hands have had an incredible summer would be an understatement. The Falmouth four-piece have been showcasing their explosive blend of punk-infused garage rock and roll on some of the biggest stages in the country, and now they’re about to launch the next part of their exciting story. Available for streaming on the 27th September, their next single ‘This Feeling’ will land via Jam X Recordings.
Now Toby Mitchell, Dan Able, Louis Mitchell and Sam Hilder are gearing up for their biggest work since 2018’s debut album ‘Party’s Over.’ Album number 2 is imminent, and ‘This Feeling’ is leading the way for the ruckus of what’s to follow. Another undeniably infectious track that encompasses what the band are all about. Sounding somewhere in between Parquet Courts, The Strokes and The Stones, this is fearless, energetic and overflowing with an inimitable swag and attitude. Featuring no nonsense sing-along verses and catchy choruses.
On creating ‘This Feeling’ the band added:“This Feeling is a lo-fi love song about how frail relationships can be in the modern age. Social media can both spark and smother romance very quickly and it seems modern couples have no escape from each other. Musically the song is energetic and fierce, inspired by bands such as Buzzcocks and Parquet Courts.”
