Following his debut EP release, numerous singles and a slew of shows throughout this year, Hypnosister (aka Ex-Allusondrugs guitarist Damian Hughes) has revealed a music video for ‘I’m Going To Die’.

After his departure from Leeds based psyche-grungers Allusondrugs, Hughes launched his new fuzzed out space pop project, Hypnosister in mid 2017 drawing influence from My Bloody Valentine, Nirvana and Neutral Milk Hotel.

Taken from the self titled debut Hypnosister EP (see our review), ‘I’m Going to Die’ delivers Hypnosister’s signature big choruses and soaring space rock guitars, while this time exploring more progressive, eclectic songwriting, straying slightly away from the standard pop song format and including elements of carnival music.

“It’s about the people who manage to find truth in a world that’s completely locked up in deceit” Says Hughes. “When they try to spread that truth to help free people they end up crushed, driven to madness or simply just disappear at the hands of those that want the truth kept quiet.”

Catch Hypnosister at one of the following shows across the UK:

10th November – London, The Good Mixer
17th November – Keighley, The Exchange
30th November – Lancaster, The Bobbin
5th December – Bath, Komedia
