Ellen Cole, Director of York’s Little Festival of Live Music says:”We have a wide range of musical genres on offer at this year’s festival, including folk, country, Americana, surf rock, indie, pop, acoustic plus much more. We always aim to offer our audiences a great musical experience and enjoy introducing them to acts that they may or may not have seen before. I love being part of the festival because we can bring so many people together to enjoy great music in a warm and welcoming environment. Furthermore, our venue is also fully accessible to give those with mobility problems peace of mind. It is great to see a free entry music festival like ours do so much for the York community, which is why we bring it back year-after-year.”
Having received nearly 800 applications from bands and musicians from up and down the country, the team were able to whittle them down to 30 acts, who will take to the stage to showcase their work in front of an appreciative audience.
This year’s line-up includes renowned folk and acoustic performer David Ward Maclean, popular York group The Duncan McFarlane Band, Americana folk combo King Courgette, Ingrid Schwartz, Dan Webster, Savannah Betts, Dave Gorman, Dear Friends, Stillhouse, Mulholland, Leather’o, Gracie Falls, Vesper Walk, Everlate, Joshua Burnell and Band, Flora Greysteel, The Bronze, Kitty VR, Jess Gardham, Laura Kindelan, Ramble Gamble, Atomic Raygun, The YORKshire Puddingz, Ava Rose and Charlie Daykin from Barcode Zebra, Vinnie Whitehead, top folk musician Edwina Hayes, well-known folk and country performer Boss Caine, alternative RnB artist Kymberley Kennedy and York’s legendary surf-rock band the Surf Sluts, who will be disbanding after their performance at this year’s festival.
York’s Little Festival of Live Music will take place in the Music Marquee on Parliament Street from Friday 23rd September – Saturday 1st October and admission into the event is free. The music starts each day at 5pm and will end at approximately 9pm. For more information on the festival:
