Over 150 acts. Live music and street performances, six venues. Broad range in styles of folk, blues, country and acoustic performers and bands

Scandimoot – 1st May for 4 days – Clapham Village, nr Austwick, Yorkshire
A long weekend of traditional Scandinavian music and dance, in the Yorkshire Dales. Learn tunes and dances from Scandinavian teachers. The music and dance in 2015 will be Norwegian.

Holmfirth Festival of Folk – 8th May for 3 days – Holmfirth, West Yorkshire
Every year the town puts on an amazing line up of musicians. There are a variety of paying and free concerts across the weekend. The line up will include old festival favourites and lots of new or local talent. Mainly free, but but some ticketed events.

Doncaster Folk Festival – 15th May for 3 days – Doncaster, Yorkshire
Concerts, Ceilidh, Dance Displays, Sessions and Singarounds at four venues around the town.

Hebden Bridge Folk and Roots – 15th May for 3 days – Hebden Bridge, Yorkshire
A folk and roots festival covering a wide variety of roots music, from folk and blues to ska and americana. Ceilidh, workshops, sessions, street performers, spoken word. Lots of variety.

Shepley Spring Festival – 15th May for 3 days – Shepley, Yorkshire
From Friday ’til late Sunday. Concert marquee, Dance tent, Showground stage and more. On site camping, market and food stalls, crafts, children’s festival and youth programme. Large variety of acts, around 88 of them. Twice nominated for the Family friendly Festival award, this year an even bigger programme of events for children.

Worral Festival – 3rd Jul 2015 – Worral, Yorkshire
Annual music and ale festival held in the picturesque village of Worrall on the outskirts of Sheffield. This year’s festival will have American flavour featuring a talent competition, Americana music, American style food and ales as well as the usual mix of top quality local music and acts.

Underneath The Stars Festival – 24th July for 3 days – Cannon Hall Open Farm, nr Barnsley, Yorkshire

Whitby Folk Week – 22nd Aug for 7 days – Whitby, Yorkshire
Seven days of dancing in the streets, music and singing in the pubs, concerts and dances until late into the night, and a whole lot more. Seven days of meeting old friends and making new ones. With over 600 events, this long-standing celebration of the traditional music, dance and song of the British Isles has taken on the trappings of a tradition in its own right.
