Following their run of dates supporting indie legends the Enemy, Manchester bred storyteller’s PROSE have been selected as main support for fellow Mancunian singer JP Cooper ahead of their own UK headline tour in November.

The three-piece showcase their unique mix of hip-hop, indie and classic songwriting when they enter the stage as their rawness and infectious energy brings out the power of their music.

PROSE are picking up support across the length and breadth of the country with their busy touring schedule but some of the newest fans have had their introduction to the band via third single ‘Further’ which was hailed as Radio X ‘Shock of the New’ and subsequently added to the Radio X Evening Playlist. But loyal support from BBC Introducing in Manchester has continued since their first upload as an unsigned act, and led onto plays from Radio 1’s tastemakers Huw Stephens and Phil Taggart, and which also gained them a highly-coveted addition to the Radio 1 Introducing Playlist last month.

The band’s debut album ‘Home of the Brave’, out now on Naughty Records/Virgin EMI, is a perfect distillation of everything that makes them great, anthemic tales of life and love growing up on Manchester council estates. They have an authentic working class voice that can sometimes be missing from some British music.

After being signed by high profile Brit producer Naughty Boy to his own record label, the band have been on a steady upwards trajectory and proving themselves to be an incredibly promising new voice in British music.
