Tim Cook and the Groove Family:

“Musical behemoth of global fusion…” – Drift Continental

The electric fusion of jazz, latin and global beats that is Necktr drummer’s Tim Cook and the Groove Family. Featuring an all-star line-up of some of the greatest musicians in the Leeds underground jazz scene (inc. Necktr, Project Hilts, Long Legged Creatures, Fall Quintet), the mammoth ensemble of 10-16 members (depending on their occasional collaborations with guest vocalists, MC’s and instrumentalists) birth a whole new genre, inspired by the music Tim Cook loves: Nigerian Afro-beat, Brazilian Samba, Ghanaian highlife, Latin Jazz and UK electronic beats including Garage and Broken beats. The collective have blown up in Leeds over the past year, headlining the Wardrobe, following their supports of high profile acts like Yussef Dayes, KOG and the Zongo Brigade and Cykada. They are a definite must see!

Narcle:

“Mesmerising… when the band take off and ramp it up it’s joyous.” – Local Sound Focus

Narcle are a 6 Piece Funk and Soul Group based in the North West of England, however this description does not do justice to the mesmerising sound that they bring. They are sure to hook you with their soulfully jazzy singer, lovely tasteful keys and fantastic saxophone melodies. Fusing late-night, mellow vibed jazz with improvisation, Narcle are a top band that will leave you feeling chilled, but also enthralled.
