Cavorts from Barnsley
Do you like rock, punk AND metal? Cavorts combine all three in one smouldering gutpunch of an aural assault. Signed to In At The Deep End who have been home to bands such as Architects and Gallows, Cavorts were asked to provide support for Dragonforce’s ‘The Power Within Tour’ after the release of their self-titled EP.
The Black Lamps from Barnsley
Live In Barnsley favourites The Black Lamps will be gracing the festival again this summer. Their eponymous album of post-punk and alternative rock anthems was met with much acclaim on it’s release last year and is a favourite of those who have heard it. Be sure to check them out live as well as their back catalogue.
Retro Deluxe from Barnsley
Bringing the music of BeBop Deluxe to a live audience, Retro Deluxe will be taking part in this years Live In Barnsley for fans old and new.
The Spirals from Barnsley
Drawing on inspiration from various different genres, The Spirals will be showcasing their eclectic palette at Live In Barnsley 2016.
Morris & Watson from Barnsley
Folk duo Lizzie Morris and Dan Watson introduce traditional songs to a new crowd while also writing their own material as can be heard on their ‘Seeing Through Smoke’ EP which you can check out on their website.
Scott Swift from Barnsley
Solo acoustic act Scott Swift will be making an appearance at this year’s festival
Married to Machines from Barnsley
The Barnsley-based outfit will be making their first appearance at Live In Barnsley this year.
Big Bad Wolves from Barnsley
Known to many in the local music scene, the five-piece are back playing again after a near two year hiatus. They will be making an appearance at a charity event hosted by Barnsley Rock & Blues (Polish Club) on Sunday 10th April if you want to check them out in the run up to their festival appearance.
Black Vines from Barnsley
Hot on the heels of their latest album ‘iNFREQUENCY!’, hard-rockers Black Vines will be playing the Barnsley leg of the Live In Barnsley Taster Tour on 8th April at Barnsley Rock & Blues (Polish Club) en-route to their festival appearance. The Rolling Down Hills from Barnsley
Originally an acoustic duo, Lewis Ryan and Simon Moore’s music is heavily influenced by the grunge movement of the early ‘90s. They’ve expanded their sound to incorporate additional members and have been playing recent live events as a five-piece.
Barnsdale Hood from Barnsley
Known for playing a combination of traditional tunes and self-penned originals, Barnsdale Hood are made up of Alan Jones on banjo and Dave Alton on guitar. Good music and good fun!
