Recently returned from a tour of Kenya and Zanzibar, Ricardo Garcia (guitarist and composer) and Flamenco dancer Nanako Aramaki present an evening of both classic and contemporary Flamenco music and dance. Centred in this Andalucian tradition, yet fused with modern sounds including jazz, some Indian and African sounds, Ricardo’s music serves as a diary of his travels: recent trips to East Africa, MTV Unplugged in India, two tours to Jordan, work with rural communities, Kid’s workshops in Kenyan villages, regular appearances at Edinburgh Festival, with Syrian Refugees….
