Started in 2004 Dance to the Radio has become one of the most successful contributors and influencers of the UK Independent music scene. Early compilations were a trusted showcase for new artists in the UK and beyond, with the label releasing albums and singles for a wealth of talent including post-punk legends ¡Forward, Russia! and chart-storming indie-rockers The Pigeon Detectives.

1 million plus combined sales later and Dance to the Radio has maintained a presence supporting new music by hosting the Dance to the Radio stage at Leeds festival featuring artists such as Pulled Apart by Horses, Dutch Uncles, Hookworms, Wild Beasts and Blood Red Shoes since 2007.

With a pledge to provide a structure around new artists that meets their specific needs and curate a platform for exciting new music the label will be announcing new signings in the near future.

The first release of 2016 will be ‘Lose Control’ the new single from platinum-selling Leeds band The Pigeon Detectives, available online from 30 September. A sold-out UK tour follows the release of the single which represents a new direction for the band having made the record with Leeds’s critically acclaimed producer Richard Formby (Wild Beasts / Ghostpoet / I like Trains).
